While burgeoning with ideas and plans, I just can't seem to blog more than to wish anyone reading a happy weekend or a sweet week. I don't know what is up with that.
Life is clicking along nicely with lovely mundane things and small treats, like theother23 and I going to see The Cowboy Junkies last night. We saw them in a rather intimate show about ten years ago, where they asked the audience for participation in completing the New York Times Sunday crossword puzzle. Of note, he made me a mixed tape about 21 years ago and one of the songs on it was Junkies' cover of "Sweet Jane". (I grew up on Lou Reed, so that helped to seal the deal. Deal = us.)
We are having a quiet weekend at home. X got up around three in the afternoon, while the husband and I were up at the crack of dawn ... even with going to a show the previous night! Um, not that I'm motivated right now or anything like that. Making a simple dinner is my big plan for the day.
At the moment, I'm watching a flock of grackles in some neighboring trees, waiting for an opportunity to clean the yard of miscellaneous leftovers from autumn, now revealed by spring.
Merry weekend, y'all.
